ProVap S.A. VCL Primer is a rapid-drying, non-flammable primer formulated with SBS resins to promote excellent adhesion between ProVap self-adhesive vapour control layers (VCLs) and the substrate. Designed for use on concrete and other porous surfaces, it ensures reliable membrane bonding — even in cooler application conditions.
The ProVap S.A. VCL Primer is a high-performance red-tinted primer developed to improve adhesion of ProVap S/A membranes and other modified bitumen roofing systems. Its SBS resin formulation provides excellent bonding capability, even on difficult or absorbent substrates, while the non-flammable solvent base ensures safe on-site handling.
Quick-drying and easy to apply by roller, brush, or spray, the primer stabilises dusty or porous surfaces, promoting optimal adhesion and reducing the risk of delamination. It is particularly suited for use at lower ambient temperatures (+5 °C and above), ensuring consistent, reliable performance in varied site conditions.
