The Elevate Lap Sealant is formulated to provide excellent adhesion to a wide range of materials used in EPDM roofing installations. Applied to the edges of flashing seams and detailing areas, it creates a protective seal that enhances the longevity of the membrane system.
Lap Sealant is specifically designed for seam edge treatment, protecting the exposed edges of cured seams and formflash during the curing process. It also serves as a temporary sealant for formflash edges, gradually breaking down after several weeks as the underlying adhesive fully cures.
Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, grease, and loose materials.
Allow a minimum of 4 hours after completing a flashing seam before applying Lap Sealant (unless weather is threatening).
If bad weather is expected, apply SA-1065 Splice Adhesive to the seam edge as a temporary measure.
Apply Lap Sealant no later than the next day after seam completion.
Apply a continuous bead approximately 9.5 mm x 6.3 mm (3/8″ x 1/4″) centered over the flashing seam edge using the supplied nozzle.
Maintain a steady bead over the lap step-off for an even, watertight finish.
For formflash edges, apply as a temporary sealant to protect cut edges during curing — the sealant will naturally break up after several weeks.
⚠️ Important: Do not use Lap Sealant as a structural adhesive or general-purpose caulk. It is intended solely for seam edge treatment and temporary protection of formflash edges.

Store in original sealed containers between 16–27 °C until ready for use.
If exposed to lower temperatures, allow to return to room temperature before application.
Avoid prolonged contact with skin; use gloves during handling.
Do not thin or mix with other products.
Keep away from heat sources and open flames.
